Partnership with BISP Programme for a better nutrition status of mothers and children in Baluchistan
A new AICS field visit has been completed in the last days to Baluchistan, in particular in Lasbela and Khuzdar districts, to monitor main activities in the framework of BISP Programme.
A seminar in Karachi related to project and activities funded by the Italian Cooperation in Pakistan
The seminar was jointly organized in Karachi by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, Islamabad and the Consulate of Italy, Karachi. The event was graced by the auspicious presence of His Excellency Ambassador of Italy, Andreas Ferrarese, the Consul General of Italy in Karachi, Danilo Giurdanella and Head of Italian Development Committee, Mr. Aarij Iqbal.
AICS Islamabad Head of Office visits National University of Technology, Islamabad
AICS Islamabad Head of Office Mr. Francesco Zatta paid a courtesy visit to the National University of Technology (NUTECH). Welcomed by the Rector, Gen. Moazzam Ejaz and the Dean, Dr. Almas Anjum, Mr. Zatta listened to a presentation of the various departments and activities of the public sector University, offering academic courses and qualified professional training.
Italian and Pakistani common battle against climate change’s consequences
A coordination meeting focusing on environment safety was held this morning at Ministry of Climate Change and Environment premises. It aimed at enhancing dialogue and coordination between Italian and Pakistani actors committed for environment protection in Pakistan in the framework of development projects funded by AICS. H. E. Italian Ambassador to Islamabad Andreas Ferrarese and Ministry Mrs. Sherry Rehman leaded the two delegations.

AICS supports maternal-child health in Baluchistan
A new contribution to the social protection programme BISP – Benazir Income Support Programme has been agreed between AICS Islamabad and EAD – Economic Affairs Division at the Ministry of Economics today. Thanks to remaining amounts of PIDSA – Pakistan Italy Debt Swap Agreement (500.000.000 Rupees – 1.5 MLN EUR), activities in favor of marginalized communities in Baluchistan will be carried out.
